This month’s pub is O’Neills Pub located on Pearse Street in the heart of Dublin. This attractive and lovingly maintained pub was established in 1885 has been run by four generations of the O’Neill family who continue to offer a warm and cheerful ambience throughout the seasons. O’Neills has had a distinguished presence in the neighborhood for well over 100 years. The connected Inn above was used to shelter rebels such as Michael Collins, Dan Breen, and Sean Treacy during the War of Independence from 1918-1922, and is still in operation today.
Located opposite the beautiful Trinity College and steps from both O’Connell Street and Grafton Street, O’Neills is the perfect city center location to start or end your Dublin adventure. The charming and comfortable Inn above is a great alternative to hotels, and the pub serves up delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
